Error description

  • In the Graphical Scheduling (GS) application durations change
when dragging bars or entering a new start time when a Time
    Zone has been specified.
When a Time Zone is not specified on Profile - Default
Information this problem does not occur.

Sometimes changing a Start time to 11:30am results in it
    changing to 10am by itself.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to Profile - Default Information and make sure the Time
Zone field is blank. If it is not blank, then blank it out,
click OK and log out and then log back into Maximo.
    2. Enter a new work order with 2 tasks. Make the durations of
    all 3 be 2.5 hours.
    3. In Graphical Scheduling create a new schedule with Calendar
DAY, Shift DAY and a work query to select the new work order.
    4. Save and click on Graphical View.
    5. Click on one of the bars and move it. It will move and the
duration will stay at 2:30. This is the correct behavior.
    6. For a different task change the time on the start date by 1
hour. The time will change to what you specified and the
duration will stay at 2:30. This is the correct behavior.
    7. Now go to Profile - Default Information and enter
Canada/Central in the Time Zone field. Log out and then log
    back in.
    8. Open the schedule created above and click on the Graphical
    View tab.
    9. Drag one of the bars to a new time. For me the duration
changed to 0:30, for the client it increased. This is the bug.
    10. For a different task type in a new start time for the start
date. Both the time and the duration will change though
neither one should change. This is the other part of the bug.

    RESULTS:
They durations and/or start times change when they should stay
    the same.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:
As stated above, the duration should not change. If typing in
a new start time, that should not change either from the value
    that has been entered.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    7612 with the latest IFix.
