Error description

  • Problem
    When receiving a large quantity of rotating assets as a direct
    issue to an operating location receiving error BMXAA1771E - This
    asset already exists. Please enter new asset
    
    Steps to Reproduce
    
    Go to the Item Master application
    Create 2 new rotating Items ABCITEM, XYZITEM
    Populate the order unit and issue units = EACH
    Do not add the rotating items into a storeroom
    Change the status to Active and check Roll New Status to
    Organizations and Inventory? field
    
    Go to Purchase Orders application
    Create a new PO
    Populate the Company field = FSC
    Click on PO Lines tab
    Click on New Row
    Populate the Item field = ABCITEM
    Click Issue on Receipt field
    Populate Quantity field= 500
    Populate the Unit Cost field = 100.00
    Populate the Location field= BR200
    Add another po line
    Populate the Item field=XYZITEM
    Click Issue on Receipt field
    Populate Quantity field= 200
    Populate Unit Cost field= 200.00
    Populate the Location field= BR200
    Change status to APPR
    
    Go to the Receiving application
    Filter for the PO created above
    Click on Select Order items
    Select the line items
    Save the record
    More Actions > Receive Rotating items
    Select the line items and click Autonumber
    Click OK and wait
    
    
    
    Receive System Message BMXAA1771E - This asset already
    exists. Please enter new asset.
    Click OK to the system message
    Click Cancel notice that the status is WASSET
    
    Go to the Asset application
    
    Filter for rotating item= ABCITEM
    
    You will be presented with a list of assets
    
    Results
    The assets were created for rotating item ABCITEM but the
    Receiving application it is still showing WASSET
    
    
    Expected Results
    You should be able to receive a large quantity rotating assets
    as a direct issue
