Error description

  • DESCRIPTION:
    If the Priority field value of a Measure Point is updated to
    use a value other than the value of the associated Job Plan or
    PM, then the resulting Work Order Priority field value will
    still use the Job Plan or PM Priority value.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Log in to maxdemo instance
    2. Go To Planning | Job Plans
    3. Common Actions | New Job Plan
    4. In the Job Plan field enter "JP-01"
    5. In the Description field enter "Job Plan 01"
    6. In the WO Priority field enter 3
    7. In the Job Plan Tasks section click the New Row button
    8. In the Task 10 Description field enter "Task One"
    9. Save the record
    10. Common Actions | Change Status
    11. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click Active
    12. Click OK
    13. Go To Assets | Locations
    14. Common Actions | New Location
    15. In the Location field enter "L-01"
    16. In the Description field enter "Location 01"
    17. In the Type field | Select Value | click OPERATING
    18. In the Priority field enter 1
    19. Save the record
    20. Go To Assets | Assets
    21. Common Actions | New Asset
    22. In the Asset field enter "A-001"
    23. In the Description field enter "Asset 001"
    24. In the Location field enter "L-01" and tab out
    25. On the Meters tab | Meter field | Select Value | click
    OILCOLOR
    26. Save the record
    27. Common Actions | Change Status
    28. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click OPERATING
    29. Click OK
    30. Go To Preventive Maintenance | Preventive Maintenance
    31. Common Actions | New PM
    32. In the PM field enter "P-001"
    33. In the Description field enter "PM 001"
    34. In the Asset field enter "a-001" and tab out
    35. In the Priority field enter 4
    36. On the Frequency tab | Estimated Next Due Date field |
    click the Select Date button
    37. Click today's date
    38. Save the record
    39. Common Actions | Change Status
    40. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click Active
    41. Click OK
    42. Go To Assets | Condition Monitoring
    43. Common Actions | New Measure Point
    44. In the Point field enter "OC-001"
    45. In the Description field enter "Oil Color 01"
    46. In the Asset field enter "a-01" and tab out
    47. In the Meter field enter "oilcolor" and tab out
    48. In the Characteristic Action Values section click the New
    Row button
    49. In the Value field | Select Value | click BROWN
    50. In the Job Plan field enter "jp-01" and tab out
    51. In the Priority field replace the default value (3) with 5
    52. Save the record
    53. Go To Assets | Assets
    54. In the Asset field enter "a-001" and press Enter
    55. Click A-001 to open the record
    56. More Actions | Enter Meter Readings
    57. In the New Reading field | Select Value | click BROWN
    58. Click OK
    59. Go To Assets | Condition Monitoring
    60. In the Point field enter "oc-001" and press Enter
    61. Click OC-001 to open the record
    62. In the Measurements section verify that the reading was
    populated
    63. More Actions | Generate Work Order
    64. Click OK
    65. In the System Message, note the Work Order number that was
    generated, then click OK
    66. Go To Work Orders | Work Order Tracking
    67. In the Work Order field enter the number of the Work Order
    that was generated, then press Enter
    68. Click the record to open it
    69. View the values in the Asset/Location Priority and Priority
    fields (1,3)
    *RESULT: The Work Order is created with a Priority value of 3
    from the Job Plan
    *EXPECTED RESULT: The Work Order is created with a Priority
    value of 5 from the Measure Point
    70. Update the condition monitoring point charpointaction to
    use your PM from step 2 rather than the job plan from step 1.
    Enter a new Reading and generate using thresholds. Note that
    the resulting work order uses the expected priority 5
    71. Go to Assets | Condition Monitoring
    72. In the Point field enter "oc-001" and press Enter
    73. Click OC-001 to open the record
    74. Expand the details of the row in the Characteristic Action
    Values section
    75. Delete the value from the Job Plan field
    76. In the PM field | Detail Menu | Select Value
    77. Click P-001
    78. Note that the Priority field populates with the PM Priority
    value of 4
    79. Save the record
    80. Go To Assets | Assets
    81. In the Asset field enter "a-001" and press Enter
    82. Click A-001 to open the record
    83. More Actions | Enter Meter Readings
    84. In the New Reading field | Select Value | click BROWN
    85. Click OK
    86. Go To Assets | Condition Monitoring
    87. In the Point field enter "oc-001" and press Enter
