Error description
In ITM v630 FP7 SP2, APAR IJ16040 (OA57107) optimized the utilization of memory when the RTEMS performs a Stage2 operation; (i.e. a re-synchronization of its tables with those at the Hub). When the size of the Access List is large, (i.e. >100k records), the additional time to optimize memory utilization adds appreciably to the overall time of the Stage2.
Local fix
An alternative approach to reduce the memory utilization during a Stage2 has been implemented that doesn't increase the duration of process.
Problem summary
In ITM v630 FP7 SP2, APAR IJ16040 (OA57107) optimised the utilisation of memory when the RTEMS performs a Stage2 operation; (i.e. a resynchronisation of its tables with those at the Hub). When the size of the Access List is large, (i.e. >100k records), the additional time to optimise memory utilisation adds appreciably to the overall time of the Stage2. The time for an RTEMS to complete a Stage2 operation is excessively long
Problem conclusion
An alternative approach to reduce the memory utilisation during a Stage2 has been implemented that doesn't increase the duration of process. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | service pack | 6.3.0.7-TIV-ITM-SP0009
