Error description

  • SDA processing for application support to a 64 bit TEPS (and TEP
Web client) on Linux or AIX incorrectly adds the com.ibm.k*.doc
help files to the 32 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory instead of
    the 64 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.
Local installation for TEP Web client application support to a
64 bit TEPS on Linux or AIX correctly adds the com.ibm.k*.doc
help files to the 64 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.

    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
    Local install TEPW application support
    1) Install a 06.30.07.00 TEPS on a Linux x86_64, Linux s390x, or
AIX system with no agent application support.
    2) Install the OS agent aplication support for the lz, ux and nt
agents for the TEPS and TEP Web client.
    3) Configure the TEPS to connect to an existing Hub TEMS with
    SDA support disabled.
    4) Start the TEPS.
    5) Locate the installed help files like the following.
    cd $CANDLEHOME
    find * -name com.ibm.*.doc | grep /kf/eclipse/plugins
    6) The results look similar to the following for a 64 bit TEPS
(and TEP Web client) on Linux x86_64
    li6263/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.fw.doc
    lx8266/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.klz.doc
    lx8266/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.knt.doc
    lx8266/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.kux.doc
    7) Notice: Only the com.ibm.fw.doc directory is listed under the
    32 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.
    8) Notice: All the com.ibm.k*.doc directories are listed under
    the 64 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.

    SDA install TEPW application support
    1) Install a 06.30.07.00 TEPS on a Linux x86_64, Linux s390x, or
AIX system with no agent application support.
    2) DO NOT Install the OS agent aplication support for the lz, ux
and nt agents for the TEPS and TEP Web client.
    3) Configure the TEPS to connect to an existing Hub TEMS with
    SDA support enabled.
    4) Start the TEPS.
    5) Start the OS agents for Linux, Unix and Windows connected to
    the same HUB TEMS.
    5) Locate the installed help files like the following.
    cd $CANDLEHOME
    find * -name com.ibm.*.doc | grep /kf/eclipse/plugins
    6) The results look similar to the following for a 64 bit TEPS
(and TEP Web client) on Linux x86_64
    li6263/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.fw.doc
    lx8263/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.klz.doc
    lx8263/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.knt.doc
    lx8263/kf/eclipse/plugins/com.ibm.kux.doc
    7) Notice: Only the com.ibm.fw.doc directory is listed under the
    32 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.
    8) ERROR: All the com.ibm.k*.doc directories are listed under
    the 32 bit kf/eclipse/plugins directory.

Local fix

  • Move the com.ibm.*.doc directories from the 32 bit
    kf/eclipse/plugins directory to the 64 bit kf/eclipse/plugins
    directory.
