Error description

  • STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. In the System Properties application, make sure the
mxe.app.workorder.allowHistoryWO property is set to 0.2. In Work
Order Tracking, find a task work order with a status of CLOSE
    and note the WONUM.
    3. Create new work order or bring up an existing work order.
    4. Scenario 1: On the Related Records tab, Related Work Orders
table window click the "Select Work Orders" button. The task
work order with status of CLOSE identified in Step 1 is
    unavailable. This is correct.
    5. Scenario 2: Click "New Row"
    6. Manually type the task work order number from Step 1 and tab
out of the field. Entry is allowed, but the Class field is not
    automatically populated with ACTIVITY.
    7. In the Class field, enter value ACTIVITY and tab out. Error
"BMXAA4313E - This combination of work order number and work
order class does not exist." is correctly encountered.
    8. Scenario 3: Go to the List tab and re-query the work order or
    create a new one.
    9. On the Related Records tab, Related Work Orders table window
    click New Row.
    10. On the Work Order field, choose Go To > Work Order Tracking.
    11. Choose the All Records query so you can then filter
successfully for the task work order with status of CLOSE that
    you identified in Step 1.
    12. Query for CLOSE task work order identified in Step 1.
    13. Click "Return With Value". The Work Order field populates
    with no error.
    RESULTS:
Return with Value function allows a Task Work Order
class=Activity in Closed status to be successfully added to the
    Work Order Related Records tab.
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
Return with value should work the same way that the "Select Work
Orders" and new row functionality works. That is, when
mxe.app.workorder.allowHistoryWO is set to 0 in System
Properties, work orders in CLOSE status should not be able to be
    added as related records.

The same behavior can be observed within the Service Request
    application.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.2
