IJ34156: INSPECTION RELEASE TRANSACTION FOR A TRANSFER NOT RECORDED WITH PROPER EXCHRATE2 AMOUNT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When a required item is marked as Inspection Required? the
  exchange rates should be maintained across the transfer process.
  However, When the item is being released from inspection, the
  ExchRate2 value is being dropped
  
  Steps to replicate:
  
  Go to Organizations app and recall EAGLENA
  Enter base currency 2=EUR
  More Actions-Inventory Options-Inventory Defaults, check
  Automatically create Usage documents for new reservations?
  dialog box
  
  More Actions-Inventory Defaults-Inventory Reorder, Internal
  Request Creation
  select radio button Unapproved PRs
  
  Confirm exchange rate exists for current yearly period
  
  Go to Inventory-Storeroom application and recall HARDWARE
  storeroom, More Actions-Select Reorder Storeroom, Reorder
  Storeroom=SOFTWARE
  
  Go to Item Master and insert new record, Item=FIFA
  More Actions-Add item to Storeroom, Storeroom=HARDWARE, Unit
  Cost=10,
  Current Balance=0, Order Unit=EACH, Issue Unit=EACH
  
  More Actions-Add item to Storeroom, Storeroom=SOFTWARE, Unit
  Cost=10,
  Current Balance=12, Order Unit=EACH, Issue Unit=EACH
  Common Actions-Change Status, New Status=ACTIVE, check Roll New
  Status to Organizations and Inventory? checkbox
  
  Go to Inventory application and recall item above FIFA, there
  will be a line
  entry for Storeroom=HARDWARE and a line for Storeroom=SOFTWARE
  
  Select line FIFA for Storeroom=HARDWARE
  More Actions-Reorder-Reorder Items
  In Reorder Items dialog box, check Ignore Reorder Point/
  checkbox and
  UNcheck Run in Background Mode? checkbox
  Click Preview button
  Click Reorder button
  Note PR number
  
  GO to PR application and recall PR 1071
  Click on PR Lines tab and expand line, check Inspection
  Required? checkbox
  Save and approve PR
  Convert to PO 1137 and then go to PO and approve po
  
  Go to Inventory Usage application and recall auto created usage
  record 1052
  Change status to SHIPPED, shipment 1004 created
  
  Go to Shipment Receiving app, receive shipment 1004 by clicking
  on Select Shipped Items button, select line and click ok
  Save record
  Change Inspection status, More Actions-Change Inspection Status,
  select line
  and click OK. The Inspection is completed for the items which
  creates a TRANSFER transaction in COMP
  status.
  
  Check the exchangerate2 and linecost2 for Issue type ?TRANSFER?
  in the database,
  select
  unitcost,loadedcost,linecost,linecost2,issuetype,exchangerate,ex
  changerate2
  from matrectrans where ponum='1137'
  
  RESULT: the values are 1.00 and null respectively, which is
  incorrect.
  Similarly, Linecost2 is incorrect for Issue type ?SHIPTRANSFER
  .
