APAR status

Error description

  • DESCRIPTION:
    When a synonym status of 'ENTERED' is selected by the User to
    change the status of an Inventory Usage record from ENTERED to
    the synonym of ENTERED, the UI hangs at the "Please Wait" box
    in the Change Status dialog. The log shows that the status
    change was made but the UI does not recover and has to be
    exited by the User.
    
    The issue occurs only when a Conditional Expression for the
    synonym value of 'ENTERED' exists for the Usage Lines section
    of the Inventory Usage application.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Log in to maxdemo instance as MAXADMIN
    2. Go To System Configuration | Platform Configuration | Domains
    3. In the Domain field enter "invusestatus" and press Enter
    4. Click INVUSESTATUS to open the record
    5. Click the New Row button
    6. In the Internal Value field enter "ENTERED"
    7. In the Value field enter "TRANSFER"
    8. In the Description field enter "Ready For Transfer"
    9. Click OK
    10. Save the record
    11. Go To Administration | Conditional Expression Manager
    12. Click the New Row button
    13. In the Condition field enter "TR_INVSTATUS"
    14. In the Description field enter "TR Test"
    15. In the Expression field enter "status in ('TRANSFER')"
    16. Click the checkbox for "Always Evaluate?"
    17. Save the record
    18. Go To System Configuration | Platform Configuration |
    Application Designer
    19. In the Application field enter "invusage" and press Enter
    20. Click INVUSAGE to open the record
    21. On the Inventory Usage tab click to highlight the Usage
    Lines table section
    22. Click the Control Properties button on the toolbar
    23. On the Advanced tab | Signature Option field | Select Value
    24. Scroll and click READ
    25. In the Sig Option Data Source ID field enter "MAINRECORD"
    26. Click the Configure Conditional Properties button
    27. Click the Select Groups button
    28. Scroll and click the checkbox for EVERYONE, then click OK
    29. Click the Select Conditions button
    30. Click Filter
    31. In the Condition field enter "tr" and press Enter
    32. Click TR_INVSTATUS, then click OK
    33. Click the Enter Property button
    34. In the Property field | Select Value | scroll and click
    inputmode
    35. In the Value field enter "readonly"
    36. Click OK
    37. Click the X to close the Table Properties dialog
    38. Save the record
    39. Log out
    40. Log in
    41. Go To Inventory | Inventory Usage
    42. Common Actions | New Inventory Usage
    43. In the Usage Type field | Select Value | click TRANSFER
    44. In the From Storeroom field enter "central" and tab out
    45. Click the New Row button
    46. In the Item field enter "0-0031" and tab out
    47. In the To Storeroom field enter "pkg" and tab out
    48. Save the record
    49. Common Actions | Change Status
    50. In the New Status field click the drop-down arrow, then
    click Ready For Transfer
    51. Click OK
    
    RESULT:
    The Change Status dialog never closes and the "Please Wait" box
    remains active on the screen indefinitely
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    The Change Status dialog will close and the Status will
    promptly update as expected
