APAR status

Error description

  • STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1. Go to Item Master --> Create item X
    NOLOT
    2. Also, Create another item Y
    NOLOT
    3. Go to Item Assembly Structure of Item Y and add item X to it.
    4. Mark Item Y as a kit and save the record
    5. Go to Item X and changed from NOLOT to LOT and save the
    record
    6. Add item X to Central Storeroom
    7. Change the status of Item X to Active and roll it to
    Inventory
    8. Go to Item Y and add it to Central storeroom with a qty of 12
    9. Change the status of Item Y to Active and roll it to
    Inventory
    10. Go to Inventory --> Item Y --> Select Action -->
    Dissassemble Kit
    11. Enter Dissassemble quantity: 12 and click ok:
    RESULT:
    BMXAA1931E - Please specify a To Lot and Bin.
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Maximo should not allow the user to change the item X from NOLOT
    to LOT in Step 5. This will prevent the error and allow the user
    to dissassemble the kit.
