IJ32910: MANAGE INVENTORY WORK CENTER - STATUS OF INVENTORY USAGE CAN'T BE CHANGED TO STAGE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When there is no default bin setup for an item an error message
    is displayed when trying to STAGE inventory.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    1.	Open the Item Master application and create a new item.
    2.	Change item status to Active.
    3.	Click on Add Items To Storeroom, select a storeroom e.g
    CENTRAL then click OK
    4.	In the window opened enter just Issue Unit & Order Unit, but
    not Default Bin then click OK
    5.	Open the Inventory application and the details for the item
    just created ? Default Bin it is emply.
    6.	In the Inventory Balances sub-tab click on New Row and fill
    in:
    a.	Bin: bin1
    b.	Current Balance: 5
    c.	Save
    7.	Open the Work Order Tracking application and click to create
    workorder
    8.	Add an asset or location, make sure the GL Account is
    complete then click on tab Plans.
    9.	In Materials sub-tab click on New Row and add fill in:
    a.	Item: the item created
    b.	Storeroom: the storeroom where the item was added, e.g
    CENTRAL
    10.	Save and approve the workorder.
    
    11.	Go to the Manage Inventory work center
    12.	Select the reservation just created for item/work order
    13.	Click on Create Picks
    14.	Enter a description then click on Pick List
    15.	Select again the reservation and click on Pick Selected ?
    notice that From Bin: bin1
    16.	Click on Pick
    17.	Click on tab Pick
    18.	Select the pick and click on Stage Selected- notice that
    From Bin: bin1
    19.	Click on Stage-  this error message is displayed: BMXAA7691E
    - The status of inventory usage 1038 cannot be changed to
    STAGED. BMXAA8227E - The storeroom or bin that you have selected
    does not contain item 1006.
    RESULT:
    Inventory cannot be staged
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Inventory should be possible to be staged
    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Tivoli's process automation engine 7.6.1.2
