IJ32034: FIELDS ADDED ON PO LINES PAGE, INFORMATION IS REMOVED WHEN LINE TYPE IS CHANGED FROM ITEM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Problem Description:
  When added fields Remarks and Supervisor to the PO Lines,
  information is entered in those fields and the Line Type is
  changed from Item to another type the information is removed
  from the Remarks and Supervisor fields.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Go to Application designer and bring up the PO application
  2. Click on the PO lines tab
  3. Scroll down and highlight Default Table Data section
  4. Click the Control Palette dialog box
  5. Add 2 text boxes to default table section
  a. First text box properties
  Default Label: Remarks
  Attribute search > Object: POLINE
  Attribute filter for REMARK and select
  b. Second box properties
  Default Label: Supervisor
  Attribute > Object: POLINE
  Attribute filter for Supervisor
  Save
  6. Go to PO application
  7. Create PO
  Add Company
  8. Click on PO Lines tab
  9. In Default Table Data section
  a. Work Order: enter a work order
  b. Enter something in Remarks field
  c. Enter Wilson for Supervisor
  d. Enter Smith in Requested By
  10. PO Lines section
  Click New Row
  ***Take Note: Remarks field is populated, and the Supervisor
  field and work order fields are populated
  Save
  11. Now change Line Type from Item to Material and take note
  that the Remarks and Supervisor fields are now blank, however
  the Requested By, location and work order fields remains
  populated with the information form the work order
  12. Then go back to Line Type and change it back to Item, the
  Remarks and Supervisor fields are repopulated
  13. The same results happen when you change Line Type from
  service and standard service back to Item, the remarks and
  supervisor are repopulated. However if you go from Tool to Item
  the remarks and supervisor fields are not repopulated
  
  RESULTS: steps 11 to 13 above
  
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  The Remarks and Supervisor fields should remain populated
