Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Reschedule/Unassign Assignments action
schedules the work order to be a day earlier than the requested
date when the login user has a timezone setting.

    STEPS TO
    REPRODUCE:
    Setup:
    - Set the server OS timezone to be UTC
    timezone and restart server.
    - Login user is with timezone:
    Australia/Perth (GMT + 8 DST/N) Perth
    - Shift time defined is
    7:30AM-4:30PM, Monday - Friday.

    1. In Work Order Tracking,
create a work order with schedule start (eg: 2nd Feb) and
schedule finish with duration as 1 hour and SAVE
    2. Create an
assignment and select labor from lookup and SAVE. Make sure the
labor is a new labor who doesn't have any existing
    assignment.
    3. Reschedule WO using "Reschedule/Unassign
Assignments" option and select date as 5th FEB 7:59 AM (<
    8AM).
Result: The WO is rescheduled to 4th FEB 7:30AM. This is
unexpected, the expected datetime is 5th FEB 7:30AM.
    4.
Reschedule WO using "Reschedule/Unassign Assignments" option
and select date as 5th FEB 8:00 AM (>= 8AM).
    Result: The WO is
rescheduled to 5th FEB 7:30AM. This is correct.
    5. Change the
login user timezone setting to be Brisbane timezone (which is 2
    hrs in advance to Perth):
    - Login user is with timezone:
    Australia/Brisbane (GMT +10 DST/N) Brisbane
    Test again, the
    "cutoff" time now becomes 10AM.
    6. If change the login user
timezone setting to be empty, ie. no timezone setting, the
    issue doesn't replicate.

    RESULTS:
    The work order is
rescheduled to be a day earlier than the requested
    date.

    EXPECTED RESULTS:
The work order should be rescheduled
    to the requested date.

    REPORTED IN VERSION:
    Maximo Asset
    Management 7.6.1.1
