Error description
Child Work Order does not inherit status change from parent Work Order. STEPS TO RECREATE: 1) From Preventive Maintenance application, open an active PM record. As an example, a PM [1017] is selected from maxdemo. 2) Click [New Row] in the children section on [PM Hierarchy] tab. Then add another active PM. As an example, a PM [1018] is selected from maxdemo. 3) From select action menu, select [Generate Work Orders]. 4) On [Generate Work Orders] window, specify the following values and click OK. Generate WOs Due today Plus This number days : 0 Use Frequency Criteria? : unchecked Run Work Order Generation in the Background? : unchecked Notification E-mail for Work Order Generation : blank 5) Confirm the following messages and click OK. BMXAA3208I - PM 1017 creates WO 1207. BMXAA3208I - PM 1018 creates WO 1208. 6) From select action menu, select [Generate Work Orders] again. 7) On [Generate Work Orders] window, specify the following values and click OK. Generate WOs Due today Plus This number days : 0 Use Frequency Criteria? : unchecked Run Work Order Generation in the Background? : unchecked Notification E-mail for Work Order Generation : blank 8) Confirm the following messages and click OK. BMXAA3208I - PM 1017 creates WO 1209. BMXAA3208I - PM 1018 creates WO 1210. 9) From select action menu, select [Generate Work Orders] again. 10) On [Generate Work Orders] window, specify the following values and click OK. Generate WOs Due today Plus This number days : 0 Use Frequency Criteria? : unchecked Run Work Order Generation in the Background? : unchecked Notification E-mail for Work Order Generation : blank 11) Confirm the following messages and click OK. BMXAA3208I - PM 1017 creates WO 1211. BMXAA3208I - PM 1018 creates WO 1212. 12) From Work Order Tracking application, confirm "Inherit Status Changes?" is checked for the following Work Orders. 1207 1208 1209 1210 1211 1212 13) List Work Orders on the list tab so that the following Work Orders are included in the list. 1207 1208 1209 1210 1211 1212 14) Check [Select Records] check box and check the following Work Orders. 1207 1209 15) Click [Change Status] icon and select [Cancel] for the new status on [Change Status] window. 16) Select [No] for the following message. BMXAA8232I - Do you want to reinstate the preventive maintenance record while you are canceling the PM work order? 17) Confirm the following child Work Orders are not canceled even though their parent Work Orders (1207 and 1209) were already canceled. 1208 1210 EXPECTED RESULTS: Child Work Orders are canceled when parent Work Orders are canceled. Local fix
The problem does not happen if you change parent Work Order status on the individual records instead of from the list tab.
