Error description

  • PROBLEM: Error Message: system invalidFetch when trying
    to
    delete an workzone record
    
    ENVIRONMENT:
    Maximo
    7.6.1.2
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE
    
    Step 1:
    1a) Go to application
    ?Work Zones?
    1b) Create new Workzone with plus Button , fill
    the "Work zone"
    and Description fields with ZONE1
    1c) Add 2
    Associated Labor (Adams) and (Allen), then click Save.
    
    Step 2
    :
    2a) In Menu action from left : choose "Delete workzone"
    2b)
    Message appear: "BMXAA9099E - The current work zone cannot
    be
    deleted because it is associated with one or more
    labor
    resources or crews. Before you delete this work zone, you
    must
    delete all associations."
    2c) Click OK button
    
    Step 3
    :
    Click on trash button to delete one associated labors:
    3a)
    First on ALLEN
    3b) Then, second time, click the same button on
    ADAMS
    
    Result: Error Message: system invalidFetch
    
    IMPORTANT:
    
    1) Save button is not active after the labor deletion
    2)
    Choosing "Delete work zone" on step
    3) will trigger the same
    Error Message: system invalidFetch
    
    EXPECTED RESULT :
    Work zone
    to be able to be saved
    The labor is removed
    
    CURRENT RESULT
    :
    System Error Message appears: system invalidFetch
    

Local fix

  • Work around after the error appears:
    1. Choose "Clear changes"
    from the left menu
    2. Select the created Work Zone
    3. Delete
    first the associated Labor
    4. Save
    5. Delete Work Zone
