IJ30747: ASSET SWAP FAILS WITH PARENT REMOVAL WHEN UNSATISFIED DATA RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE

APAR status

Error description

• STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Go to Security Groups application.
  2.
  Open the MAXADMIN group.
  3. Move to the Data Restrictions
  tab.
  4. Open the Attribute Restriction sub-tab.
  5. Add a new
  row.
  6. Fill Object as ASSET, Attribute as SERIALNUM and make
  it REQUIRED.
  7. Save.
  8. Go to Assets application.
  9. Open
  Asset V1017.
  10. Fill its SERIALNUM field with any value and
  save.
  11. Move to its parent (Asset A6703) and add a serialnum
  to it and save.
  12. Go back to asset V1017.
  13. Under More
  Actions, click Swap Assets.
  14. Fill Replacing Asset field with
  V1018 and click OK.
  15. Error BMXAA4195E is thrown, along with
  message BMXAA0067I, saying the asset was transferred
  successfully.
  
  
  RESULT:
  Assets are not swapped, but asset V1017
  loses its parent and location.
  
  
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  Data
  restriction to not allow swap to be done for neither
  asset.
