Error description

  • When a inventory usage record is created automatically from a DR
    the description field is blank.
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE:
    
    1 Create a Desktop Requisition and add a description to it. Add
    an RFQ line and select an item with a current balance and list
    the storeroom.
    
    2. Submit the requisition and approve it.
    
    3. Inventory Usage record is automatically created but with a
    blank description.
    
    EXPECTED RESULTS:
    
    That the description would have been populated.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
    package: Release 7.6.1.3 of Base Services
    If the Desktop Requisition is for a work order, the "Created for
    WO 1000" Description will be used on the Inventory Usage
    document. If the requisition does not have a work order number,
    then the new message "Created for requisition 1200" will be used
    to set the Description on the Inventory Usage record.
