This APAR includes fixes to various defects identified in CICS Explorer V5.5.0.
Local fix
Problem summary
- The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer (Java 8 SR6 FP5) should be updated to a later Fix Pack level. - Not all perspectives provided by CICS Explorer have descriptive tooltips included. - DD hyperlinks are not supported on FTP connections however it is not always clear in the error messages that this is the case. - In the CICS Explorer help contents the title "JCICS Javadoc" needs to be updated.
Problem conclusion
- The Java service level shipped with CICS Explorer has been updated to Java 8 SR6 FP10. - Descriptive tooltips have been added to perspectives provided by CICS Explorer. - CICS Explorer has been updated with an error message to explain that DD hyperlinks are not supported on FTP connections. - The title "JCICS Javadoc" in the CICS Explorer Help contents has been renamed to "CICS API Javadoc" . This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.0.10 of the CICS Explorer. .
