APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• MDM has FTA1 directly connect to it.
  DM directly connected to
  MDM.
  FTA2 is under DM.
  
  So architecture is like
  following:
  MDM/DWC - DM - FTA2
   |- FTA1
  
  
  The network traffic
  route for communications should be like following:
  
  When set
  FTA BEHINDFIREWALL=ON
  Retrieve FTA2's joblog on FTA1 using
  conman should go through domains hierarchy:
  FTA1<->MDM<->DM<->FTA2.
  Other communications, like msg exchange
  will go through domains hierarchy as well.
  
  When set FTA
  BEHINDFIREWALL=OFF
  Retrieve FTA2's joblog on FTA1 using conman
  should go directly between FTA1<->FTA2.
  All other
  communications, will go not through domains hierarchy.
  
  
  
  However, according to tests, When set FTA BEHINDFIREWALL=ON,
  if use conman on FTA1 to retrieve FTA2's joblog, then the
  network traffic is directly between FTA1 and FTA2 instead of
  going through the MDM-DM hierarchical tree.
  
  
  Reproduce
  steps:
  iptables opened on FTA2 to block FTA1 traffic
  On FTA1
  
  conman "sj FTA2#jobs.ls;stdlist"
   errno=111 connection
  refused
  
  iptables disabled to allow traffic
  On FTA1
   conman "sj
  FTA2#jobs.ls;stdlist"
   joblog shows

Problem summary

• User Affected:
  Users asking for the joblog of a job executed on an FTA
  connected to a Domain Manager and defined with the option
  BEHINDFIREWALL YES from an FTA conneted to the master agent.
  
  
  
  Problem summary
  The problem is due to an error in the code. Because of this
  error the FTA is unable to calculate the correct path to the
  other FTA and connects to it directly ignoring the Domain
  Managers hierarchy
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem will be fixed on 9.4 FP7 and 9.5 FP3
