APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • PROBLEM:
    TKTEMPLATE TEMPLATEID is being converted to decimal when
    escalation applies the CREATESR action
    If you create a ticket template as 1010 and apply to an
    APPACTION CREATESR, it will not apply the template.
    It reads the 1010 as 1010.0
    
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    *Make Sure Sql logger = INFO
    1. Create a Ticket Template =1010 (or autonumber)
    - Class = SR
    - Owner = WINSTON
    - Change status to Activate
    2. Go to Escalation and insert new as:
    - Applies to = WORKORDER
    - Expression = wonum = 'RKTEST'
    - Site = BEDFORD
    - Run every 1 minute
    3. Escalation Point Condition 1=1
    - Check Repeat it you want to let it run and create multiple
    SR's
    4. In Actions, Go to Actions and create new
    - Applies to WORKORDER
    - Type = APPACTION
    - Value = CREATESR
    - Parameter = 1010
    Save and Return with Value
    5. Save and Activate the Escalation
    6. In Work Order tracking, create a new WO =RKTEST. Save
    7. Once escalation runs you will see on Related Records tab a
    new SR created and it will not contain owner = WINSTON.
    
    RESULT:
    TKTEMPLATE does not get applied because 1010 is read as 1010.0
    
    EXPECTED RESULT:
    Template gets applied when SR is created
    Review logs you will see no error, but
    select * from tktemplate where templateid = '1010.0' OPTION
    (FAST 1000)
    
    Product version:
    Tested on 7608 no ifix and 7611 no Ifix

  • Create Ticket Template using ALPHA or ALPHANUMERIC characters
