Local fix

Problem summary

• The segmentation error occurred when dereferencing a NULL
  pointer due to a timing hole between setting a field and getting
  its value.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JVM has been updated to return valid field values and
  prevent the segmentation error from occurring.
