Error description
PROBLEM: based on ICD 7.6.1.0 defect #113096 Description: ICD 761: Dropdown Go To Menu sub-menus and sub-applications are empty ICD 761 ICD-PROD-128-201810191831 - Login as maxadmin - Ensure Side Navigation menu is disabled. (Side Nav disabled appears to be the out-of-box default.) - Pre-req: May need to make browser window small to see this problem (see details below)... - Select (dropdown) Go To Menu - Observe: Go To Menu sub-menus and sub-applications are empty - eg.: Go to > Administration > Resources > (empty!) <---- Expected: Should see submenu with Labor, etc (Chrome) - eg.: Go to > Service Request Catalog > (empty!) <---- Expected: Should see submenu with Offering Catalog, etc (IE) - etc... - NOTE: Problem may occur when browser window is small (eg. not maximized, or zoomed in, etc) - NOTE: Problem may not occur when browser window is larger (eg. maximized, or zoomed out, etc) - NOTE: I see same/similar problems on different browsers, eg. IE, Chrome, etc. - Therefore, appears to be a problem with Go To menu UI. PROBLEM: Dropdown Go To Menu sub-menus and sub-applications are empty - Note: Sometimes (not always), if browser window is 'maximized', or 'zoomed-out', submenues/apps suddenly become visible... - These are *not* acceptable workarounds, but may provide clues about root cause. - Sev 2. Must Fix. This is very bad behavior. Customers/users will be very frustrated if they cannot find all menus/apps. EXPECTED: User must always see *all* Go To menu sub-menus, sub-applications, and scroll bar(s). Comments: This issue is reproducible in 7604 as well. NOTE: ICD 7.6.0.4 uses TPAE 7.6.0.9 I have verified this on 172.20.152.163 machine. This behavior is browser specific on IE and chrome and works fine in firefox. additional comment> GoTo menu UI is driven by Tpae files (menus.js and navsection.js and maximo.css). When user tries to open the submenu, functions from these js files are called to build the menu and it checks the browser window width and height and builds the menu accordingly. So, when goto menu is hidden that time it won't be able to build the menu properly due to browser window dimensions. This same issue can be seen in Maximo Only set up and previous version of ICD in specially in IE. PFA screenshot for Maximo only 761 set up GoTo menu. This has to be fixed by tpae team since the files control are in there framework and it will solve the issue in ICD as well. Hence, transferring this defect to get it resolved by tpae team. PERFORMANCE ISSUE: no STEPS TO REPRODUCE: from dev. see above CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: from dev. see above EXPECTED RESULT: from dev. see above ADDITIONAL INFO: none ENVIRONMENT: - ICD: 7610 - TPAE: 7610 CASE: none. create for internal dev.
