APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a PowerHA Resource Group includes NFS exports which
have a path that is a subset of another exported path,
then the exportfs command on RG acquisition will fail.

Local fix

  • None, except avoid exporting directories which have a
path subset of another.

Problem summary

  • When a PowerHA Resource Group includes NFS exports which have a
path that is a subset of another exported path listed in
/usr/es/sbin/cluster/etc/exports, then the exportfs command on
RG acquisition will fail. For example, the following entries
will cause the issue: /export/data /export/data/backup When
PowerHA configures NFS for /export/data, it will mistakenly
include the arguments for both of the above paths.

Problem conclusion

  • Correct the grep command so that it can differentiate sub paths.

Temporary fix

  • None, except avoid exporting directories which have a path
subset of another
