APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: The garbage collector is not collecting objects
that are expected to be collected
.
Stack Trace: N/A

Local fix

  • add the Java option -Xjit:disableKnownObjectTable when running
the SDK

Problem summary

  • Incompatible APIs are used when pushing and popping objects on
the naive stack of the JIT compilation thread resulting in
objects being left on the stack unexpectedly.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes have been made to call the same APIs in the JIT
compiler to avoid unexpected stack states.

This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
   8    SR5 FP20  (8.0.5.20)
   7 R1 SR4 FP30  (7.1.4.30)
