APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Error Message: The crash may be inside of the J9ReadBarrier
handling, for example
GC_ObjectModelDelegate::calculateObjectDetailsForCopy or a
similar GC function. The symptom is a bad forwarded object or
corrupted object.

Local fix

  • This problem can be worked around by either not running with
-Xgc:concurrentScavenge or by disabling transactional memory in
the JIT compiler via -Xjit:disableTM,disableTLE

Except with z/OS where this APAR is fixed in:
