Error description
If customer downloads a host file in text mode on a 3270 session that host codepage is 1399 or 1390 unicode with JIS2004 support and PC codepage for 3270 file ransfer is specified as 1041, the last 3 bytes at the end of each ftp packet ( once per 8000 byte by default settings) are lost in the transfered PC file. . This symptom does not occur if HCP is 930/939 with PC codepage 1041.
Local fix
use HCP 939/930 session if you do not need unicode nor surrogate pair support. use PC code page 1200 if you can accept that the transfered is written in unicode.
Problem summary
User with CP1399-JIS2004 session found 3 bytes truncated after download file from 3270 host.
Problem conclusion
The error is caused by incorrect length of read bytes was calculated when user select PC code page 1041 in JIS2004 support session. Keep original byte length calculation method for PC code page is not 1200(Unicode) in JIS2004 support.
