Error description
DataPower customers who are upgrading their XM model from a 3.8.x or 4.0.x release to a 5.0.0.3 release or higher may experience a restart and the upgrade will not complete.

Problem summary
XM upgrades to 5.0.0.3 or higher may experience a restart during the upgrade, and the upgrade will not complete.
Problem conclusion
The fix is available in 3.8.2.18, 4.0.1.16, 4.0.2.12 and 5.0.0.6. Note that to avoid the problem, the fix must be in the version of the firmware that is currently running on the appliance (not the version that is being upgraded to). Temporary fix
A failed upgrade from an earlier release can be completed if the upgrade is retried in two steps, first to a version of the XM firmware revision that includes the fix, but does not contain optional features such as ODBC or TAM, and then a second upgrade to the firmware that includes the desired features.
