Error description
Unable to perform file transfer between WMQ FTE and SFG agent type (Sterling B2B Integrator File Gateway). File transfers work fine from command line using fteCreateTransfer when properly configured. When attempting to initiate a file transfer via WMQ Explorer, the dialogs never allow the file selection and the submit button never becomes active; thus you can not submit a transfer from the WMQ Explorer. There is no indication of an error, but when looking at the WMQ Explorer error log, the following errors can be seen: Internal error: the agent type SFG is not supported. Local fix
In WMQ Explorer preferences, disable the use of Wizards for the file transfer panels. 1) In the WMQ Explorer menu, click 'Window->Preferences->WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition' 2) Unselect the box: 'Enable additional function in Version 7.0.4.1' 3) Exit and restart the WMQ Explorer. This should allow the WMQ Explorer to be able to create new transfers for a SFG agent type.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of the WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (FTE) v7.0.4 plugin for the WebSphere MQ Explorer and WebSphere MQ Explorer v7.5 that are using a Sterling File Gateway Agent or Embedded Agent. Platforms affected: Windows, Linux on x86, Linux on x86-64 **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: When using the WebSphere MQ Explorer plugin for FTE/MFT and the additional function for 7.0.4.1 has been enabled then the create file transfer wizards will produce unpredictable behaviour. This behaviour occurs only when the Agent selected is either a Sterling File Gateway Agent or an Embedded Agent type. The behaviour seen will stop an transfer being created via the Explorer plugin as the Explorer panels do not show the correct details when navigating through the wizard.
Problem conclusion
This APAR solves the problem by making sure that the FTE/MFT WMQ Explorer plugin wizards can function correctly when one of the agents is of type Sterling File Gateway or Embedded. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Platform v7.5 -------- -------------------- Multiplatforms 7.5.0.1 Platform v7.0 -------- -------------------- Multiplatforms 7.0.4.3 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
