Error description
Error Description￘ When the Datapower appliance is configured to use SSLProxy to handle traffic, having slow DNS responses may cause the appliance to restart.
Local fix
Local Fix￘ Changing the system to use a fixed TCP/IP address rather then a hostname may avoid the problem from occurring. If the traffic being handled by SSLProxy is HTTP, then using a XMLFirewall instead of SSLProxy may prevent the issue from occurring.
Problem summary
Affected are customers of all firmware releases, using SSL Proxy service with a backend specified as a host name, resolved via DNS. In some cases, especially if the DNS lookup is slow, the appliance may hang for about two minutes and ultimately restart.
Problem conclusion
The fix is available in 4.0.1.12, 4.0.2.8 and 5.0.0.1
Temporary fix
