Error description
Under some network conditions a MPGW or WS-Proxy may leak sockets and memory when a backend connection cannot be established.
Local fix
Problem summary
Under some conditions the return code from the backend is not checked leading to a lost transaction. The leak can occur for a HTTP Multi-Protocol Gateway backend when there is a network error; such as an unexpected reset. The network error must occur on the backend during a specific timing window in the Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW) state machine. It should be rare to hit this specific timing window.
Problem conclusion
The fix will be in 3.8.2.11, 4.0.1.8, and 4.0.2.4.
Temporary fix
