Error description
This is a HATS PMR but this problem appears to be a bug in HOD. The error appears to be that HOD is returning the wrong field attribute for a specific type of 5250 field that starts with '/*' in the editor. This specific field on the 5250 screen appears to have special attrbitures that allow it to change color and the field size when a character is typed in the attribute position on the terminal screen. Currently, HATS displays the field as protected in the transformation even though its shown as an input field on the display terminal. The same behavior exist in HOD which means that HOD is returning the wrong field attributes.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: HATS users displaying 5250 host screens. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In certain situations, an unprotected * * field on a 5250 host screen is * * displayed as a protected field. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a display attribute is encountered in the data stream at a place other than start of field, it gets added to the Field Format Table but the field attribute is not set properly. This causes HATS to display text as uneditable and the user is unable to modify the data. This is due to the fact that HATS relies on the field attributes to determine whether a field is displayed as an input field or a protected field.
Problem conclusion
The code which handles storing the field attributes in HOD was modified to fix the problem.
