Error description
HATS displays a subfile incorrectly in cases where the header region is recognized using a specific color. The problem can be seen using the "Work with All Spooled Files" screen on the iSeries. When the option for recognizing the subfile header is changed from "High intensity" to "Specified color" and the color white is chosen the subfile header will now include the first data row as part of the header. The problem does not occur on all subfile screens, just certain ones.
Local fix
Don't recognize the header region using a specified color or change the region selected for the header to not include any of the data rows in the subfile.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the HATS Subfile component. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The header region of a HATS Subfile * * can include the first line of the * * data region in the subfile in some * * cases. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** On some subfile screens, the HATS Subfile component will incorrectly include the first line of the subfile data region as part of the header. This occurs when the criteria for recognizing the header is set to recognize by a specific color.
Problem conclusion
The HATS Subfile component was storing the wrong end row for the header region when recognizing the header by a specific color. The problem was occurring due to fields not being properly compared to the specified header color. As a result, in some cases, there were fields being stored as part of the header when they didn't actually match the color specified which caused the end row to be set incorrectly. The code was changed to prevent the wrong end row from being stored by making sure the field was tested before storing the row value.
