Error description
TSM overwrites bitfiles from a TSM Client LANFree backup in a special configuration: . The following conditions must apply : . - A TSM client backups their data LANFree to TSM server SRV1 - The primary Storage Pool on SRV1 is unavailable. - The defined next Storage Pool is handled from a TSM library manager (LM). - The path from the Storage Agent to the next Storage Pool is not defined or off-line. . A MOVE DATA back from this next Storage Pool to his defined primary Storage Pool or an AUDIT VOLUME from this next Storage Pool volume shows ANR1330E / ANR1331E messages. . This issue occurs when TSM stores bitfilles. A later stored bitfile overwrites a prior one. . Customer/L2 Diagnostics . In a TSM server trace we saw "Positioning NTP volume V12345 to 4.48" when store bitfile1. And also the same "Positioning NTP volume V12345 to 4.48" when store bitfile2. bitfile1's position is the same as bitfile2, so bitfile2 overwrites bitfile1. . example;: bitfile1 09:38:18.489 [13579][asalloc.c][8657][InitSeg]:Position uncertain for volume V12345(16771) - repositioning for append on side A. 09:38:18.489 [13580][pvr.c][12916][AgentThread]:PVR I/O agent (13580) processing POS request. 09:38:18.490 [13580][pvrntp.c][1952][NtpPos]:Common tape pos. 09:38:18.490 [13580][pvrntp.c][2027][NtpPos]:Positioning NTP volume V12345 to 4.48. 09:38:18.491 [13580][pvr.c][13434][AgentThread]:PVR I/O agent (13580) finished POS request; rc=0. 09:38:18.491 [13580][pvr.c][12869][AgentThread]:PVR I/O agent (13580) waiting for next request. . bitfile2 09:52:34.794 [13596][asalloc.c][8657][InitSeg]:Position uncertain for volume V12345(16771) - repositioning for append on side A. 09:52:34.795 [13580][pvr.c][12916][AgentThread]:PVR I/O agent (13580) processing POS request. 09:52:34.795 [13580][pvrntp.c][1952][NtpPos]:Common tape pos. 09:52:34.796 [13580][pvrntp.c][2027][NtpPos]:Positioning NTP volume V12345 to 4.48. 09:52:34.796 [13580][pvrntp.c][7452][MoveToBlock]:Locate theshold= 7168 KB 09:52:34.796 [13580][psntpop.c][668][NtpOpLocateBlock]:Locating to block 4. .
