Error description
When defining a drive on the TSM 6.1 server, if an element number higher than 32767 is specified, the command will fail. The following error may be returned to the activity log: - ANR0162W Supplemental database diagnostic information: -1:23513:-545 ([IBM][CLI Driver] [DB2/LINUXX8664] SQL0545N The requested operation is not allowed because a row does not satisfy the check constraint "TSMDB1.MMS_DRIVES.MMSDR_04" SQLSTATE=23513). (SESSION: XXXX) - Other messages may include ANR0158W, ANR0102E, ANR2032E and ANR9999D. - Also note that this problem can cause a TSM server upgrade from 5.x to 6.1 to fail during the INSERTDB phase. Previous versions of TSM allowed for the element number to be larger than 32767. Errors may be similar to: - ANR1338E One or more constraint violations were detected. Examine log file constrnt.log for details. Local fix
If possible, reconfigure the library device so that drive element numbers are smaller than 32767. Also see knowledge document 1384368 for information about this problem during upgrade of TSM.
