Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: DBCS users with screens that have mixed * * data fields and input DB char in last byte * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the last character of a mixed field * * is a double byte and it fully fills * * the field, then it will be written on * * the field in the browser. However, * * it will be trimmed after sent to host. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Since the last character is DBCS there is no space to put SI. Therefore, the DBCS character will be removed after sent to host.
Problem conclusion
Code was changed to check for the condition of data fully filling the field, and the last character being a DB char with no SI. When this condition occurs then the final DB character will be removed.
