Error description
If journal report decryption is enabled, the IBM Content Collector Email Connector fails when processing IRM-protected Microsoft Exchange messages. When using the SMTP Connector in the same scenario, only one copy of the content of the journaled SMTP message is processed.
Local fix
Disable journal report decryption in Microsoft Exchange.
Problem summary
If you enabled Information Rights Management (IRM) and configured journal report decryption in your Microsoft Exchange environment, the journal report message contains a clear-text copy of IRM-protected messages along with the original IRM-protected message. For details, see the Microsoft TechNet article about journal report decryption (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876936.aspx). When processing Exchange email with IBM Content Collector, the Email Connector fails when processing such a message. When using the SMTP Connector, only the first message copy in the journaled SMTP message is processed, and the second message copy is ignored.
Problem conclusion
Starting with IBM Content Collector 3.0.0.2 IF001, you can decide whether to archive the original message or the clear-text copy. It is not possible to archive both versions.
