APAR status

  • Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

  • Scenario 1:
    1. Start SolidWorks 2010 SP4 / 2011 SP2/3 and login SWI.
    2. From SolidWorks open, open a .step file (attached, created wi
    th PRO/E application).
    => KO: SolidWorks crashes.
    However if:
    1. Start SolidWorks 2010 WITHOUT login to SWI.
    2. From SolidWorks open, open a .step file (attached, created wi
    th PRO/E application).
    ==> OK: .step file is open as expected.
    Expected: .step file should be supported by Integration and open
     without crash.
    Scenario 2:
    1. Start SolidWorks 2011 SP2/3 and login SWI.
    2. Open any existed Assembly or create a new one.
    Note: I have created and Saved to SW only a new Assembly with tw
    o Parts.
    3. Use SW Save As and Save the Assembly into two different STEP
    files with STEP AP203 and AP214 format.
    There are TWO STEP files created from the new created SW Assembl
    y.
    4. From SW Open any STEP file created by you in #3 above.
    => KO: SolidWorks crashes.

    ==> OK: .step file is open as expected.
    Expected: .step file should be supported by Integration and
    open without crash.
    Scenario 2:
    1. Start SolidWorks 2011 SP2/3 and login SWI.
    2. Open any existed Assembly or create a new one.
    Note: I have created and Saved to SW only a new Assembly with
    two Parts.
    3. Use SW Save As and Save the Assembly into two different
    STEP files with STEP AP203 and AP214 format.
    There are TWO STEP files created from the new created SW
    Assembly.
    4. From SW Open any STEP file created by you in #3 above.
    => KO: SolidWorks crashes.
