APAR status

Error description

  • Scenario:
    1) Open the Specific CATPart with two pads and two sketches.
    2) Enter into any of the sketch.
    3) In the  Skecther workbench select the ???No 3D background???
    option in Visu3D toolbar.
    4) The 3D geometries in the background are hidden and only
    the sketch is visible.
    5) Now come out of the sketch by exiting the workbench.
    6) Now enter the sketch again.
    7) The ???No 3D background??? option is working and one can only
    
    view the sketch. There are no 3D entities.
    8) Now come out of the Sketch again and goto
    Tools>Options>ProductStructure>Product Structure
    9) Check the  "Low-light of the component that does not
    belong to the active level". Option
    10) Now enter the SAME sketch again.
    11) It should have the ???No 3D background??? activated. But the
    n
    all the 3D geometries are visible.
    12) Set it again to No 3D background.
    13) Come out of the sketch
    14) Enter the SAME sketch again.
    15) The ???No 3D background??? option is not activated and again
    
    the 3D geometries are seen ??? THIS IS PROBLEM
    EXPECTED RESULT: The option No 3D background should be
    persistent as it is, whether the option activated in step 9
    is checked or unchecked.

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION V5R22 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R21 SP1.
    Additional Closure Information:
    Incident Diagnosis:The ?No 3D background? option should work
    irrespective whether the "Low-light of the component that
    does not belong to the active level". Option is checked or
    unchecked in Tools>Options>ProductStructure>Product Structure
    Correction explanation: The problem now doesnt occur.
