Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION V5R21 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP5.

    Machining (AMG) / Warning message ???Nothing to Mill??? is
    obtained while toolpath computation
    .
    Correction Explanation
    .
    When "MFG_PART_FROM_PO" is enabled, the negative
    value of offset on contour was not handled
    correctly. The computation is not possible for
    large negative thickness.
    Hence, now a error message would be popped up
    saying "Too large negative thickness on geometry"
    when the value is given too less than 0.
    Also, the design parts selected in Part Operation
    are more than required. In the PMR data, there are
    4 Design parts selected and of these, the third
    and fourth are the same parts. These huge inputs
    results in erroneous tool path.
    Please remove all the selected Design parts and
    select only the first part
    "/HAM2760102106_A-3/alteVersion_alsRT/alteVersion_alsRT/Comple
    te
    Machined Crankcase ". This is the only necessary
    part. With this part selected and offset on
    contour value given as -9.8 mm, the computation of
    toolpath is completed correctly
    .
    Note : In 32 bit system the problem occurs sometimes.In 64
    bits its OK.
