Go to Tools / Publication 5. Select PartBody and "Remove" and click OK 6. File / Save Management The status of Part1.CATPart is "Modified" 7. Click "Save" and OK 8. Close this CATPart and open CATProduct 9. File / Save Management The status of CATProduct is "Open" 10. Select the top product with MB3 and "Representations / Design mode" by Right click 11. File / Save Management ==> The status of CATProduct is "Modified": it is a problem . Expected Result: If deleting Publications in CATPart, the status of CATProduct should be "Open". . .

THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA Incident Diagnosis : To delete the Publication in CATPart, the Product status becomes Modified in the save management due to synchronization with refernce Part at open. . Restriction Explanation : The data model is shown as follows: Product | |_Part( instance)------->Part refernce . Product aggregates instance of Part. Now we are modifying part reference by deleting publication in it outside of the Product context. . At this time Product is aggregating Part instance which is modified at reference level. . So when we open Product, by synchronization process we manage these changes in the part instance when Part reference gets loaded in the session. Hence the Product becomes modified. This is normal behavior in CATIA for instance- refernce modeling. . By-Pass Manage Publication at the Assembly level. . .
