Error description
DRAFTING(GENDRAFT)/ Exact view and Raster view not always the same size. . SCENARIO: . 1. Start CATIA V5 R18 SP6. 2. Open the attached CATPart. 2. Open a new CATDrawing 3. Create an exact view with scale 1:25 (reference is the absolute axis system) 4. Change color of the view e.g. yellow, to differentiate the views. 5. Go to Tools / Options / Drafting : Change the view generation to :"Raster View" and the options to "Shading with edges" - create a raster view with scale 1:25 (reference is the absolut axis 6. Generate a Front View( Raster View is created) 7. Superimpose the Raster View with the Exact View. . RESULTS: The scale between the exact view and the raster view is different. . EXPECTED RESULT: The scale should be the same between the exact view and the raster view .

Comments
THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL. AND ON V5R19SP04. . INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS: DRAFTING(GENDRAFT)/ Exact view and Raster view not always the same size. . EXPLANATION: The difference is due to the two modes of view projection. Raster mode is a Image representation. when zoomed we can see a difference this is because - The distance measured is due to the fact that the visualization of the border line of the raster view is not recomputed when zooming. The visualization of the same line of the exact view is recomputed when zooming in order to keep a width = 2 pixels. . Bypass: use c:force update. .
