HD78526: MBD - SHEETMETAL PRODUCTION - SAVING AS DXF

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• MBD - Sheetmetal Production - Saving as DXF
  1) Create a New Part in "Aerospace Sheetmetal
  Design" workbench.
  2) Create a simple Wall feature.
  3) Create a plane (P1) parallel to any wall's edge.
  4) Create a Surfacic Flange on the edge that is
  close to the P1.
  5) Click on the Fold/Unfold button to check that it is
  unfolding correctly.
  6) Switch to "Sheet Metal Production" workbench.
  7) Click on 'Save as DXF' icon. Then click on Save.
  An error message appears: "The unfolded view is
  currently
  empty".
  8) Click on "Check Feature" icon and notice that all
  the created features are missing in the unfolded
  view.

  The parts created in Aerospace Sheetmetal Design
  or in Generative Sheet Metal Design cannot be used
  in the old sheet metal workbenches Sheet Metal
  Design and Sheet Metal Production. The customer
  must use the DXF in the workbench Generative
  Sheet Metal Design for parts create in Aerospace
  Sheetmetal Design.
  Solution:
  Use the manufacturing preparation/save as DSX
  icon inside the  Generative Sheet Metal Design
  Workbench
