Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA Incident Diagnosis: The product contains the CATParts. Product is opened with cache option on. The parts are in the visualization mode. When + sign is clicked on one of the CATPart then part is switched in product mode. When the status of the CATpart is checked (right click on CATpart & click on representation option) then visualization mode is grayed out. This is the problem. . Restriction Explanation: Initially the CATProduct & CATParts are in the visualization mode. When the + sign is clicked on the CATPart then it switches to product mode. This switch information is not updated in the menu i.e. (checking the representation by right clicking on the part or in the representation tool bar). That is why the visualization mode is grayed out. Internally + Sign does not point to any object over which command availability can be calculated. Clicking + sign do not indicate or update the information in the representation toolbar. But clicking on specification tree or 3d area enables internal object which manages the availability of the command. This Enables or Disables the command. Hence it becomes a restriction from Application Frame as well as Product Structure Side to provide the calculation of this command on click of + sign. .
