Error description

  • Multi model linked in the drawing (IDW) of Inventor
    11
    ABSTRACT: Multi model linked in the drawing
    (IDW) of Inventor 11.......
    ...............................................................
    .......
    Environment:
    Client OS and level: XP SP2
    Server OS and level:Windows Server 2003 SP1
    Database and level: Oracle 10.2.0.0.0
    Scenario:
    The description is explained in the attached
    MultiModelLink.pdf
    With Inventor 11 a really critical issue occurs when
    2 different model (ipt,iam or ipn) are insert/linked
    into a drawing.
    The following drawing contains a model (ipt)
    C15.0061523.00. In the profile card the right
    number is mapped.
    <picture>
    <picture>
    If another model (C13.0061522.00) is added in the
    drawing, Inventor keeps the first inserted/linked as
    master, ..
    The number remains similar.
    <picture>
    KO: SmarTeam does not behave in the same way,
    the last linked is the master
    <picture>
    It is really dangerous, because the number
    changes, the BUG IS REALLY CRITICAL !!!!!
    Boris S:
    IT IS KNOWN AND EXISTED SMARTEAM
    BEHAVIOR, WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM INVENTOR
    BEHAVIOR.
    THIS DOCUMENTATION BUG OPENED FOR
    DESCRIBING SUCH EXISTED RESTRICTION IN
    SMARTEAM DOCUMENTATION.
