Expand "Applications" on the tree. "Mechanisms" is displayed on the tree. 3. Expand "Mechanisms" on the tree. "Mechanism.1, DOF=0" is displayed on the tree. 4. Double-click "Mechanism.1, DOF=0". "Kinematics Simulation" dialog box is displayed. 5. Input 135 to the "Command.1" cell. Do not move a slider. 6. Click "Close". 7. Double-click "Mechanism.1, DOF=0". . RESULT: "Kinematics Simulation" is not performed. A "Kinematics Simulation" dialog box is displayed. The message which cannot perform a simulation is displayed. The insufficient message of the joint command is displayed. . EXPECTED RESULT: "Kinematics Simulation" should be performed even if the numerical value was inputted directly in the cell of dialog box. .

THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA. Incident Diagnosis DMUKIN: 'KINEMATICS SIMULATION' IS NOT PERFORMED AFTER THE EDIT. Restriction Explanation The 135deg position is what we call a singular position. When exiting on this position and re- entering into the simulation command, the solver is not able to re-initialize the simulation anymore. This is a limitation of the kinematics solver. By-Pass You should stop at a position very close to 135 deg like 135.001 deg. Then the simulation can start again. .
