  AFTER DOING MODIFICATION
  .
  0.Start CATIA and make sure Tools\option Use
  root cotext in assembly is activated.
  1.Open the attached Product 000126642.
  2.Insert a new, empty part in the Product
  000126646.
  3.Activate the Part 000126647, select and copy the
  body.2 feature into the new created part with Paste
  Special As Result with link option.
  4.Go to save management and save the product
  node 000126646.
  -Please note that the newly created part will be
  saved as well.
  5.Close the main node 000126642 without Saving
  and reopen it.
  -Please note that the Contextual Link is active even
  now.
  6.Now delete the newly created part.
  7.Insert a new part at the same product node.
  8.Activate the Part 000126647, select and copy the
  body.2 feature into the new created part with Paste
  Special As Result with link option.
  9.Go to save management and save the product
  node 000126646.
  -Please note that the newly created part will be
  saved  too.
  10.Close the main node 000126642 without saving
  and reopen it.
  -Please note that the Contextual link has been lost
  now after the modification.

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
  CATIA.

  .
  The instance pointed as context is not saved, so
  the link has very little chance to be resolved again.
  The link will be OK in simple cases, but as soon as
  the scenario is more complex, the link will be lost.
  There is no solution to be able to correct this
  problem by code.

  .
  Save at level of definition of context, all Product
  Structure changes, before creating the contextual
  link.Use minimum context to avoid using "too high"
  level of Context.
