  In Environment File, set the variable (say :
  STARTV5_ELEC_REPOSITORY) and set its value to
  the Folder path where user can place the External
  System XML
  .
  Now, in TOOLS :: OPTIONS, when setting the path,
  if use this variable, CATIA throws error message
  .

  The env variable is now recognized and expanded
  in this path. You can input it directly in the setting
  field. PLEASE NOTE : Use of the Curly Braces is
  mandatory while setting the varaible in the Setting
  filed, plus ensure the press RETURN key after
  entering the variable to record the change of feild
  .
  Ex: Given that user has set :
  VARIABLE_NAME=c:\Temp\
  .
  $(VARIABLE_NAME}MyDirectory
  Above setting will be recognized as :
  c:\Temp\MyDirectory
  .
  .
