Error description

  • VPMV5NAV : The  synchronization mechanisms in
    VPM Navigator does not manage the
    modifications of position of detailed part.

    Scenario:
    User 1:
    - Connect to a VPM Navigator session since CATIA
    V5
    - Open the PRCA User 1 in VPMNavigator window
    - Expand all level of the PRC
    - Select all part instances
    - Open these parts in context in CATIA V5
    - In CATIA V5 window, shift the position of
    assembly Node 110 (translation for example)
    - Save modification by the function Save data in
    ENOVIA V5
    User 2:
    - Connect to VPM Navigator session since CATIA
    V5
    - Open the PRCB User 2 in a VPMNavigator window
    - Expand all level of the PRC
    Result: No unsynchronized icon is shown
    - Select all part instances
    - Open these parts in context in CATIA V5
    Result: Assembly node 110 is always in the former
    position
    - Go back in VPM Navigator window
    - Select node 110 and launch Synchronize function
    Result: Nothing is done .
    .
    After the modification was done within PRC User 1,
    an exclamation mark icon should be shown on
    Node 110 in the PRCB User 2.

    The synchronization cannot manage
    modifications
    of positions currently in R16 - No fix can be
    provided in R16.

    We will be having provisions from R17SP4
    which answers to its requirement; It includes
    1- Display of desychronization status in
    VPM Nav because of position change
    2- A new dedicated command to
    sycnhronize the model
