• Scenario:
  Setup of the Standard :
  "R15_GVS.xml" file are copy on
  "intel_a/resources/standard/generativeparameters".
  Setup of the option :
  1. Select "Tools/Options" by menu bar.
  "Option" dialog box is displayed.
  2. Click "Mechanical Design / Drafting /
  Administration".
  3. Not activating the "Prevent generative view style
  creation" of "Generative view style".
  Process :
  0. Start CATIA V5R16 or V5R17 BSF.
  1. File / Open the file : "Flat.CATProduct"
  Workbench : "Product Functional Tolerancing &
  Annotation".
  2. File / Open "Drawing1.CATDrawing".
  3. Please create a view by "View From 3D".
  3-1. Click "View From 3D" icon.
  3-2. Select "Window/Flat.CATProduct".
  "Flat.CATProduct" is shown.
  3-3. Select "Front View.1".
  ("Flat/Annotation Set.1/Views/Front View.1")
  A window changes to "Drawing1.CATDrawing".
  3-4. Change "Generative view style" to "R15_GVS".
  3-5. Click somewhere on the 'Sheet.1'.
  Result:
  The position of "Dimension.2" is changed
  automatically.
  Result to expect :
  The position of "Dimension.2" should exist
  in the same position as 3D.

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
  CATIA
  Incident Diagnosis
  Generative Drafting - When 3D model is projected
  on 'Drawing', the position of Annotation will change
  automatically
  Restriction Explanation
  The dimension in the 3D FTA View (not drafting
  view) is not updated. It is not possible to update
  this dimension until any change is done in the part.
  We require the scenario from scratch to see why
  the annotation is not updated, the last time the part
  was updated. If you can find the scenario FROM
  SCRATCH, please kindly send us the PMR again
  with this scenario, because it is not reproducible on
  a newly created part.
  By-Pass
  Three by-pass have been found for this problem:
  1. Create a new dimension and extract it in drafting
  2. Slightly move the dimension in 3D and update
  the drawing.
  3. Perform the following scenario:
  3.1 Make MBB_Ehf as the active document. You will
  enter Part FTA.
  3.2 Expand Geometrical Set.1
  3.3 Double click on Point.3
  3.4 Delete the value -9.18 and re-enter the same
  value
  3.5 Click OK in the dialog box.
  3.6 Double click on Flat (topmost in the tree). You
  will enter Product FTA and note that the dimension
  is now updated and has the updated position.
  3.7 Extract is in drafting of update the existing
  drawing
  3.8 The position will match.
