• Start a V5 session:

  . Edit.Paste Special as Specs
    > OK
  . Update
    > a popup window is displayed with the message:
      Chamfer.56 ($CHAM83):
      topological operators - internal error

Local fix

Problem summary

• Update problem on Chamfer.56 primitive after the V4 geometry
  was copied as specifications into the V5 part.
  

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 9 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R8SP02.

  WARNING: the delivered correction is only partial.
                                                                 .
  The initial error was about Chamfer.56: the problem existed
  because a naming error on a face.
  The correction of this problem shows another error on Edge
  Fillet.14: one of the 2 supporting faces do not exist anymore
  when trying to create the edge fillet.
  Using the following exports:
     BREP_MAPPIMG_ON=1
     UPDATE_ON = 1
  the situation is better, but not fully satisfactory.
                                                                 .
  A part of the closure is therefore PER (it provides a protection
  against a core dump possibility).
  The remaining issue corresponds to a specific configuration for
  which the current closure is SUG.
