After you augment a federated node or create an augmented custom node that is federated automatically, the feature metadata might be lost

Troubleshooting


Problem

The metadata for the feature might be lost after you perform one of the following actions: [

    ] [
  • ]Augment a federated node with the OSGi Applications or Java™ Persistence API 2.0 feature.[
  • ] [
  • ]Create a new custom profile node that is augmented with the OSGi Applications or Java Persistence API 2.0 feature and is federated automatically.[
  • ] [
] After the metadata is lost, you cannot restore it.

Symptom

The administrative console displays version information for the node, but that version information does not include the new feature.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, restart the node agent immediately after you perform either of the following actions:

  • Augment an existing federated node with the OSGi Applications or Java Persistence API 2.0 feature.
  • Create a new custom profile node that is augmented with the OSGi Applications or Java Persistence API 2.0 feature.
